Product Description

ALK (Anaplasticlymphoma Kinase) is one of the newly discovered molecular targets in non-small cell lung cancer. Studies have found that all fusion gene types have biological activities, and their chimeric products can lead to continuous high expression of tyrosine kinases, thereby activating downstream PI3K/ AKT, MAPK and other signaling pathways lead to the occurrence and metastasis of tumors. The presence or absence of ALK fusion gene is related to the efficacy of small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor-crizotinib, and crizotinib is effective in patients with non-small cell lung cancer containing ALK fusion gene.

This kit adopts one-step reverse transcription fluorescent PCR (RT-QPCR) method, which is easy to operate and detects the fusion types of 16 ALK genes (EML4-ALK, KIF5B-ALK, TFG-ALK), which can be beneficial to assist clinicians in screening Non-small cell lung cancer patients treated with crizotinib.
